Q. How can I prevent chipping and peeling?

A. Following our step-by-step instructions will ensure a perfect long lasting and durable application. Our innovative base coat transforms the gel into a peelable polish.

But if you are experiencing premature chipping or lift… a simple adjustment to your application will help you see longer wear out of your gel mani…

Tech Tip- do not bring the base coat all the way to the free edge, stop short and allow the color coating to come in contact with the natural nail in that area. You can do the same around the cuticle area if that is where you see premature failure. In some “lifting” cases you can just push the coating back down and it will stick temporarily.

Q. The gel is bubbling, what is wrong?

A. Alcohol or oil residue left on the nail is a common reason for this reaction. If the instructions for application are followed for proper cleaning and base coat application, you will not encounter this problem.

Q. How do I remove gel nail polish?

A. This is the best part… Just peel it off! Our base coat makes it so that you never need to soak your hands again. Follow up with Prep it”” to wipe any residue from the natural nail. This is the dehydrator step in normal application. You are now ready to apply your base coat to start a fresh new gel mani. If you want to rock a natural look for a minute, then use the “End It” to remove residue from the natural for a moisturized finish.

Q. The gel will not cure! What do I do?

A. Make sure that your LED or UV lamp is functioning properly. If you are using a UV lamp that has changeable bulbs, it may be time to replace the bulb. UV bulbs typically last 3 to 6 months. LED lamps bulbs cannot be changed, make sure the lamp is plugged in and that start button or sensors are working properly. Another common cause for this is if you are applying the gel too heavy. The light needs to be able to penetrate the polish to cure it.  Try thinner coats, especially on dark colors.

Q. What is a gel manicure?

A. A gel manicure is the process of prepping, painting, and curing gel polish on your nails. Gel based polish requires the use of a LED or UV light to cure. Gel manicures are more durable and last longer than a standard manicure.

Q. Can I use regular nail polish with gel polish?

A. No. A regular nail polish will not adhere to the gel base coat.

Q. Why are gel polish bottles opaque?

A. This is to avoid contact with sunlight and UV rays. Since gel polish cures from exposure to LED or UV lamps, having a clear bottle could result in the gel becoming hardened. It is best to store your gel polish away from direct sunlight.

Q. My gel polish is separating. How do I fix it?

A. This is very rare for our Gel Polish but if you are experiencing separating polish, roll the bottle between your hands for 30 seconds and it will return to its normal consistency.

Q. How long does it last?

A. Wear varies by person, normal wear is about 7-10 days. Most get at least 5 days wear.
